Sub-terranea designs and constructs bespoke subterranean spaces. As corporate members of the UK Basement Development Centre, we cater for both residential and commercial sectors. Based in South Manchester, the company was formed in response to the growing demand for contemporary open-plan living accommodation together with the shortage and value of land and the various constraints which can restrict more conventional types of development.

Sub-terranea was founded by Jeff Girvin who, with over twenty-five years experience as a Chartered Structural Engineer, has been responsible for many large-scale national and international engineering projects. The management of the company is overseen by Adrian and Damian Girvin, who benefit from over fifteen year's experience in project management, property refurbishment and development. Together with its partner companies, Sub-terranea offer an all encompassing service and provide a single-point of management responsibility to ensure that each project progresses on time and on budget.

We have established an experienced and dedicated team of professionals to cover each and every discipline including: design and planning, surveying, engineering and project management as well as the many other individual trades required to create your perfect subterranean space.
